As a fun test of design and machining, I crafted this mini chair out of delrin and aluminum. The design is based on the Colombo Tube Chair from Italian designer Joe Colombo.

The chair functions the same as the original design. The tubes all fit within one another. The original design was ingenious because of this feature. The entire lounge chair would fit into a canvas bag. Allowing anyone to easily transport the chair home from the furniture store.

The chair also allowed for configurability. Below is the standard configuration, but a bit of imagination could create any sort of chair or lounger.
